Instead, they use hollowed-out wood as a place to lay their eggs. Carpenter ants are also unlike termites in that you'll likely see them in your home. It's worth noting that the presence of a single ant in your home doesn't necessarily mean that there is an active infestation. Of course, it does mean that your home is attractive to them and that an infestation may occur if nothing is done.
Staying on top of pest issues in your home may avoid property damage or health issues.
