If you’re lucky enough to have a home gym, you want to make sure that you’re making the most of the space by keeping it organized! So, we’re here with some simple tips to help you make the most of the space in this area of your home

Have Floating Shelves and Boxes

Our first tip is to install floating shelves that have small storage boxes on them. It is likely that you will be short of floor space in your home gym, so this is the perfect solution to help you use some of the wasted wall space! Make sure that the shelves won’t be in a place where you could knock your head, then install them on the wall. In these storage tubs, you could have all of your lighter equipment, like resistance bands, skipping ropes and yoga mats, which often are the hardest things to keep organized!

Don’t Forget The Mirrors

Our next tip is to make sure you install mirrors in the room! This is an important touch, as when a small feels small, it often feels so much more disorganized and cluttered. So, adding mirrors to the space can help to really open it up and help it to feel bigger, so that all of your organisational work will be all the more important. Plus, having mirrors in your home gym is always a good idea to help you maintain good form, alignment and posture whilst you are exercising, to keep you safe and help you to get the best results.

Have A Few Lockers!

Another thing you can do is to have a few lockers in the space. Not only is this a fun gimmick to help replicate a real gym, but they will come in handy. You can use this as a space to keep all of your gym wear, like your matching gym sets, hoodies and trainers, so your gym really feels like a little getaway where you can go in, get changed and simply unwind. Plus, if you get too hot or cold throughout your workout, then you have the option to add a layer or change into shorts. Overall, having all of your gym-related items in the same place just helps to make the whole experience better.

Choose Multi-Functional Equipment

Last but not least, one of the best things you can do to maximize your space and keep everything organised is to choose multi-functional equipment. If you have lots of different pieces of equipment across the room, then it can make the space look so much more cluttered and it's harder to organize. So, rather than buying a full chest press set up, you could invest in a smith machine that allows you to do that and endless more exercises. You could get a pulley that is also super diverse. Think about what you like to do when you workout and how you can minimize the equipment you need to keep your home gym a comfortable place where you have plenty of space so nothing is holding you back.
