4 Things You Should Clean Every Week

Most people usually have a rough list of daily to-do's around the house. Whether it be emptying the dishwasher or making your bed, there are some things that just need to get done. However, there are other things that are just as important, which many people may not realize are as important as they are.

Even though you might be excited to put your feet up at the end of a long day an leave your cleaning behind you, these things are better off doing now rather than later. Take a look at some of the important tasks that you should be doing every single day around the house.

Wiping Down Countertops

Just because you might not be able to see anything on your countertops, doesn't mean there's nothing there. It's important that you wipe down your countertops every single day, even if you don't think there are any crumbs or debris.

In addition to wiping it down, you should also use a cleaning solution. This way, you'll ensure that you kill any bacteria while reducing your chances of developing a pest problem

Take Out The Trash

Most people don't want to take out the trash until the bag is full, which makes sense in theory. However, you should empty out your garbage can every single day. Otherwise, it won't be long until your house starts to smell like whatever is inside of it.

Not only that, but your garbage can will also be that much more vile inside. All it takes are a few small holes in your garbage bag to turn the bottom of your bin into a slimy breeding ground for all kinds of things.

Get into the habit of taking out your trash every single day. Ditch your 30-gallon trash can for one that's more like 10 gallons. That way, you'll be more likely to empty it out regularly.

Wipe Down Your Shower

Every time that you shower, you're leaving behind skin and soap particles that will coat the walls of your bath and shower. The build-up can turn into mildew and be an even bigger cleaning job down the road. Instead of letting it get to the point of requiring serious elbow grease, why not clean it little by little each day?

Something as simple as a squeegee should be enough to prevent buildup. It might take some getting used to in the beginning; however, after a few weeks, you will hardly remember life before you wiped down the walls after your shower.

Vacuum

This one you may not be crazy about, since it requires taking your vacuum out of the closet and hauling it around the entire house. However, you'd be alarmed to find how much dust in debris is accumulated throughout your house on a daily basis. If you have pets, it's especially important that you vacuum your floors since they can leave fleas and flea eggs throughout the home.
